This is a pretty boss move toward anyone who ever doubted her songwriting ability. The country icon takes to Twitter and says since she had to make that statement real for the naysayers, she went out and co-wrote an entire new album. The world is just collectively losing it about now.

Posting a snippet of a mini-trailer about the new music, she said: ‘They told me I wasn’t a songwriter, so I turned around and co-wrote a whole album. How y’all liking the new songs so far? Ready for more?’ followed by hashtags such as #acousticcountry, #newcountrymusic to start a blaze on her feed.
Expressions of love and support poured in along with huge excitement. One user, Shannon Markos, got downright emotional, expressing, ‘You are absolutely my Favorite Songwriter & guitar player!! I can’t even begin to find the words to tell you how much I love your new songs! Every time I listen to them the tears flow!’ Yupp, that’s the kind of vibe we’re talking about here.
Then Tammy Stuhr went on to say that Yearwood’s story is pure inspiration fuel. ‘I just shared this story with a group of youth educators yesterday, and the power of our words on people. Thank you for picking the guitar and your pen back up. I’m loving the new music.’ That power goes beyond just music—Yearwood is showing that super hard times plus persistency equals payback.
Going all the way, the internet would have gotten boring if that was all there ever was to say. Giving Yearwood some playful side-eye, Devil Cloud quoted her tweet and added, ‘Welp, that’s a weird sentence.’ Well, gotta love the internet for keeping some sort of balance.
AmyJo2277, meanwhile, kept it short and hype: ‘Killin it, and along w that all the damn nay sayers. Get em girl!!’ Exactly! In the face of doubt, nothing hits harder than success.
Yearwood’s new album is set for release on July 18. If buzz is anything to go by, it’s big. Tiffany Odonnel is already counting down: ‘Yes July 18th can’t come fast enough so freaking proud of you for going out of you’re comfort zone!’
Then, it’s time to hit the road: a few lucky ones got to catch her doing an acoustic show in Stillwater, with former attendee Ride with Pride stating, “Loved the Stillwater show, even got my parents and niece out. We all loved the candor, intimacy, and your amazing voice!”

So beyond all doubt, Trisha Yearwood is not just back; she’s literally rewriting her story. This noise she is stirring among us because of this album is, without a doubt, going to hit differently. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to pre-save/enjoy watching the album drop.
