On May 15, the company declared a quarterly dividend of $2.57 per share, which was consistent with its previous dividend. The company has maintained a steady track record of increasing its dividend payouts every year since going public in 1994, marking 31 years of uninterrupted dividend growth and a total increase of 516% over that period. Additionally, from its IPO through January 2025, Essex delivered a total shareholder return of 5,615%, significantly outperforming the S&P Index’s 2,242% and the 1,411% return of the NAREIT All Equity REITs.
