In the newest release from Monster High: a doll based on murderous AI child robot M3GAN from the 2022 horror flick. The internet, well, it has opinions.

Pop Crave released a version of the doll sporting M3GAN’s signature dead-eyed glare, slick blonde hair, and beautifully stiff robotic poses. While other collectors are scrambling to put hers up on their shelves, there are those who are perplexed by some of the design decisions; a few even decided that the copper face was “laid comme la vie” (meaning ugly as life itself).
Drama then ensued: On Day 1 of this dispute, erupting into fiery back-and-forth finger-pointing accounts as to whether this was an official release or a one-off custom. One user, Nacho, went on to claim it was a stolen custom design, angrily shouting, “Stop spreading misinformation! Mattel stole this idea!” Alix then countered, sharing links to official listings from Mattel Creations in support of the fact it was a legitimate release, if a limited-edition one, and the fight turned stubbornly combative until Alix finally lashed out and told Nacho, “Prove it or I’m blocking you for peace of mind.”

But this was just the beginning. The Criticism that followed questioned Why M3gan’s Face wasn’t metallic or Even transparent to really Sell Her Robotic Origins. “Why was Brown? It would still have been a money class,” one comment Said, and Another Just Shuddered, “Before, the dolls were beautiful… Now they make me want to be vaccinated.”
So, uh, yeah, I think the M3GAN promo team is winning. “The promo for this movie goes CRAZY,” one user wrote, and honestly, a doll causing this sort of mayhem pretty much fits in with both Monster High and a horror tale of a murderous robot.

As far as availability goes, Mattel Creations confirmed that it is indeed a limited release-so best be fast if you want to get your hands on one. Just don’t leave her anywhere near your pets. Or your brothers and sisters. Or anything you hold dear, really.
